The director, Ross Bardin, is a town planner with over 30 years experience in local government and private practice. He is a corporate member of the Planning Institute of Australia, a Certified Practising Planner and a member of the Victorian Planning & Environmental Law Association.
Before starting the consultancy Ross was the manager of town planning at the City of Werribee (now Wyndham City). He has excellent negotiation and liaison skills from his dealings with council officers, developers and other consultants on a broad range of planning issues. His statutory experience and ongoing involvement in the development approval process gives him a strong background in dealing with local government in Melbourne and Victoria.
His experience in local government and the private sector includes all aspects of the statutory approval process for most types of land use and development. He also prepares and presents appeal submissions at VCAT where he has achieved an excellent success rate for his clients.
Recent project involvement includes the Torquay North Outline Development Plan, obtaining planning approval from the City of Melbourne for the new Melbourne Seafood Centre in Kensington Road, West Melbourne and the relocation of Precast Concrete Systems from Laverton North to the Paramount Estate in Derrimut.
Over the years Bardin Planning Co-ordination has established strong working relationships with a range of other consultants who can provide services relating to matters such as traffic engineering, land surveying, heritage buildings, infrastructure and civil engineering.
